What is the VolumaLift™ Treatment?
As we age our facial skin and soft tissue undergoes the “3 Ds” of aging deterioration (wrinkles, pores, texture, brown and red pigmentation), descent (droopiness of the soft tissue) and deflation (loss of the above supportive fat buttresses). For skin deterioration, we have Botox, intradermal fillers, laser skin resurfacing, and medical skin care products. For deflation, we have the VolumaLift™.
How is the VolumaLift treatment performed?
Your VolumaLift physician or health care professional will take an injectable gel product (Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm, Radiesse, etc.) and inject specific amounts of the product into the specific fat buttress regions, restoring the 3 dimensional structure to the soft tissue envelope, plumping out, filling and lifting the overlying facial skin and restoring the attractive “fullness of youth.”
How long does the VolumaLift™ take to perform?
Once you’ve finished your consultation and you and your physician or health care professional feel you are a VolumaLift™ candidate, the actual injectable facelift and volumization takes less than one hour to perform.
Is the VolumaLift™ painful?
The VolumaLift is not very painful. The skin is frozen with local anesthesia prior to the procedure and the needles are passed through only the frozen skin. The injectable gel used during a VolumaLift is deposited very deeply along the facial bones, where there are very few pain fibers. The injectable fillers are much more painful when injected into lines than when they are used deeply to contour and shape the face. There is virtually no pain after the VolumaLift is completed.
Are there any risks to VolumaLift™?
The VolumaLift is very safe but you may experience some bruising and swelling, asymmetry (which is correctable), as well as a very remote chance of allergic reaction or infection. Lumpiness may occur, but is usually palpable and deep and not visible. Simple massage will usually correct any lumpiness.
Can I combine my VolumaLift™ with other procedures?
Yes, the VolumaLift goes well with Laser Skin Resurfacing, Botox, and intradermal line fillers. Dr. Adam J. Scheiner may elect to combine several of the minimally invasive procedures together for best results.
Are you a good Candidate for the VolumaLift™ Treatment?
If you appear more “tired,” sunken, deflated or hollowed then you’d like, you are likely a VolumaLift candidate. If the tail of your brow is drooping, you have bags and/or hollows under your eyes, have lost your strong or full cheekbones, have deep smile and marionette lines, developed an early jowl, and have lost lip volume or have a droopy nasal tip, then you are likely a VolumaLift candidate.
Find out how the Volumalift™ Injectable Facelift is helping thousands of people look younger by restoring youthful volume to their faces.
What results might I expect from the VolumaLift™ treatment?
It is reasonable to expect a pleasing, natural restoration of the volume shapes and curves that we define as youthful and attractive. A youthful face has a series of attractive convexities and corresponding concavities, fullness of the brows, cheeks and jaw line that we define as attractive. The youthful and attractive face is supported by deep buttresses of fat that lift and support the overlying skin and soft tissue, lending the contours of youth and beauty.
Is there any downtime after a VolumaLift™?
Yes, there is an unpredictable degree of bruising (everyone is different). One should plan on between 1 – 3 days before you can use Jane Iredale camouflage makeup effectively. One should also discontinue any medically unnecessary aspirin, NSAIDS and blood thinners.
The Volumalift™ Injectable Facelift is a revolution in facial aesthetics which can quickly rejuvenate the entire facial appearance through an in-office procedure giving immediate results with minimal downtime.
We offer a variety of safe, effective, modern dermal fillers that can restore lost volume and smooth away facial wrinkles.
[slider title=”JUVÉDERM Injectable Gel” hint=”Read More About JUVEDERM Injectable Gel”]
JUVÉDERM Injectable Gel is a “next-generation” dermal filler. Its smooth consistency helps to instantly restore your skin’s volume and smooth away moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, like your “smile lines” or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds or marionette lines, which are the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth). JUVÉDERM is also used for volumizing lips.
JUVÉDERM is a smooth consistency gel made of cross-linked hyaluronic acid-a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. Dr. Scheiner at the Aesthetic Center at Tampa Eye Clinic will ease JUVÉDERM Ultra or JUVÉDERM Ultra Plus injectable gel under the skin to provide a smooth, natural look and feel-so everyone will notice you look better but no one will know why! JUVÉDERM injectable gel is the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is proven to be safe and effective for persons of color.
How is the procedure done?
There is no need for any pre-testing because JUVÉDERM is of non-animal origin. The areas for injection are anesthetized with local anesthesia for increased comfort, followed by injections of JUVÉDERM using a delicate needle. The treatment takes about 15-30 minutes depending on the number of areas to be treated.
How long will JUVÉDERM® last?
Most patients need one treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing. The results last about 6 months or longer due to the cross-linking process through which hyaluronic acid is made into the gel product.

Radiesse is ideal for the treatment of lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. These lines are typically above the mouth, running from the nose to the corners of the upper lip (Nasolabial Folds), or pointing down from the corner of the mouth towards the chin (Marionette Lines).
How It Works
Radiesse works with your body, below the skin’s surface, to stimulate the production of collagen and encourage tissue regeneration. It does more than just temporarily fill-in facial lines and wrinkles, it rebuilds your skin’s foundation. You get immediate results and look younger, longer.
Radiesse Microsphere Technology™
Radiesse is made of very small, smooth calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres, which are suspended in a water-based gel carrier. As Radiesse is injected, the gel and Radiesse Microspheres form a “scaffold”, stimulating collagen production and encouraging tissue growth in and around the injection area. This “partnership” between Radiesse and your own body creates a natural look, comprised of your own tissue and Radiesse Microspheres.
Over time, your body absorbs the gel carrier while collagen has started to grow and infiltrate the area, replacing the gel with your own, natural tissue. The Radiesse Microspheres continue to provide the support and structure for your body to grow new tissue and collagen until the Microspheres are also safely and naturally absorbed into your body.
Immediate Satisfaction, Long Lasting Results
Radiesse cosmetic dermal filler can address many facial aesthetic and corrective needs. Because the results are natural looking and longer lasting, many patients turn to Radiesse to achieve a correction that revives and rejuvenates their appearance. No matter if your goals are to correct facial lines and wrinkles or to refresh your appearance, Radiesse provides a safe, cost-effective and convenient treatment option.
[slider title=”Restylane” hint=”Read More About Restylane”]
Your skin is made of layers. Between those layers is a clear, jelly-like substance called hyaluronic acid. As you grow older, the amount of hyaluronic acid diminishes, and your skin can cave, causing a wrinkle along the line. That’s where Restylane come in.
In simple terms, Restylane is a clear, biodegradable filler, based on hyaluronic acid. It is injected into the skin to replace hyaluronic acid that has disipated over time. Restylane fills in and smooths out wrinkles.
Restylane is for those who want to reduce or eliminate:
- Forehead lines
- Crow’s feet at the corner of the eyes
- Frown lines that run between eyebrows
- Vertical lines on the mouth
- Lines at the corner of the mouth
- Smile lines that run from the side of the nose to the corner of the mouth
- Acne scars
- Some facial scars
What to expect on your Tampa Restylane procedure day:
Prior to your procedure, a topical anaesthetic cream can be applied to the area to be treated. You can also choose to have a local anaesthetic injection.
During treatment, Restylane is injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. The injected gel produces natural volume under the wrinkle, which is lifted up and smoothed out. The procedure takes about 30 minutes, leaves no marks or scars, and the results can be seen immediately.
Restylane wrinkle treatment is long-lasting but not permanent. The length of time a treatment maintains its effect depends on many factors such as your age, skin type, life-style and muscle activity, as well as the injection technique. Most Tampa restylane patients choose to have a follow-up treatment four to six months after the initial treatment of wrinkles.
Restylane is a safe product, made of hyaluronic acid, which is naturally present in the body. To date, more than a million treatments have successfully been carried out with Restylane in more than 60 countries worldwide.
Immediately after the treatment, you can expect a slight redness, swelling, tenderness and an itching sensation in the treated area. This is a normal result of the injection. The discomfort is temporary and generally disappears in a few days. For lip augmentation injections, the swelling may last up to a week. During this time, the lips can look somewhat uneven. This means that the result directly after the treatment should not be regarded as the final result. If the discomfort continues or if other reactions occur, you should contact your doctor.
About 1 in 2000 patients experience reactions that can affect the surrounding tissues. Redness, tenderness and rarely acne-like formations have also been reported. These reactions have generally been described as mild to moderate with an average duration of two weeks.
You and your Tampa doctor will determine if Restylane is an option for you. If you are a good candidate, you will be given additional information about the procedure that will allow you to make an informed decision about whether to proceed. Be sure you have all your questions answered to your satisfaction.
