Many people are born with noses that attract attention away from the natural beauty of the face. Nose bumps and crooked noses take our attention away from the natural focal point of the face when we look at others — the eyes and mouth — and make the face appear less harmonious and less healthy. Many have considered having a Rhinoplasty or nose job but are scared of the surgery and long recovery.

Is there a way to straighten and improve various nose irregularities without surgery?

The answer to that question is “Yes.” The 5-Minute Nose Job is a safe, soft tissue injection procedure in which soft tissue fillers are used to crease shapes, angles and contours that help a nose appear straighter, narrower and more attractive — all without the need for surgeries or long recoveries.

Usually an attractive nose occupies a proportional space in the middle third of the face. It shouldn’t dominate this area or appear too small. The bridge should be straight and the tip shouldn’t be too wide, pinched or projected. Likewise, the nostrils shouldn’t appear too flared or too pinched. Finally, the base of the nose should take off from the face in a narrow range of attractive angles.

When these ideals are not present, a nose can appear to dominate a person’s face and take away from the balanced, harmonious beauty that exists there naturally. In addition, sometimes after a formal nose job, the nose doesn’t come out in an ideal state and further surgeries are unable to coax the nose back to a better configuration. In cases like these, and when patients want to “try on” a new nose before considering a more permanent surgery, the 5-Minute Nose Job is an ideal procedure. In fact, one of my favorite uses of this procedure is for those for whom a Rhinoplasty or Surgical Nose job has gone wrong.
