Most light-to-medium skin-toned adults are eligible for the RESET Procedures. Unfortunately, deep laser skin resurfacing is not available for patients with dark skin tones at this time, though they may be candidates for Halo and other treatments.

Patients whose medical conditions make anesthesia a health risk may also be excluded from the surgery. If you have previously had cosmetic surgery, Dr. Scheiner will evaluate you to determine whether the RESET Procedures are a good fit for you.

All of the RESET procedures require general or tumescent anesthesia to ensure the patient stays asleep for the entire surgery.

Healing takes time, and every individual’s recovery is different. It will take approximately 10-14 days to regrow fresh “baby” skin.  This new skin is very delicate and can be pink for six months to a year. 

During the initial healing period, it is essential that you meticulously follow Dr. Scheiner’s proprietary healing protocol. This will keep your fresh new skin moist and free from bacteria.  We will schedule multiple post-op visits during this interval for Dr. Scheiner to monitor your progress.

Most patients experience minimal pain and those who do, generally only need over-the-counter medication to alleviate discomfort.

Every surgery carries risks, and those are all covered in our practice consent forms.  The most common adverse effects patients experience after the RESET Full Face procedure are redness or swelling past the expected healing time.  Most patients heal fully in 10-14 days, but redness can last six to 12 months. Any residual pink glow can easily be covered by makeup and can be improved with broad-based light treatments.

Laser treatments offered by cosmetic surgery practices and med spas as in-office procedures have become extremely popular. They offer the advantages of easy access and little to no downtime. While these are convenient, their results are subtle and short-lived. Dr. Scheiner’s RESET Procedures are an entirely different experience, with significantly better and longer lasting results. The RESET procedures, including RESET Full Face, are deep laser skin resurfacing treatments that are much more intense than Fraxel, Pro-Fractional, BBL, or IPL treatments. Though they do involve downtime for healing, they also provide high-impact results.

Dr. Scheiner’s practice is strictly self-pay.  This procedure does provide health benefits but is not covered by insurance.

The price of the RESET Procedures varies by patient and is comparable to the cost of a facelift by a top-tier cosmetic surgery expert with experience similar to Dr. Scheiner’s.  For more specific information, request an appointment with a Patient Care Consultant to learn if this is a recommended procedure for you.

Oculoplastic Surgeons have a high level understanding of the structure of the eye, eyelids and facial region around the eyes in preparation for surgery in this very delicate area.They go through special training to provide the precise and careful touch required for performing eyelid and facial plastic surgery. Dr. Scheiner believes plastic surgeons do a fine job on other areas of the face, but that oculoplastic training is best for eyelid surgery.
