The Better Blepharoplasty® was developed to address what conventional eyelid surgery often leaves behind. While conventional blepharoplasty can remove excess skin and improve heaviness or hooding, it does not address the thin, crepey skin that can continue to make the eyelids look aged. Dr. Scheiner developed a more complete approach that addresses both the structure of the eyelid and the quality of the remaining skin.

Performed as one surgery, The Better Blepharoplasty® combines laser blepharoplasty with RESET® Upper Lids. The first step removes excess skin and restores the natural eyelid contour. The second uses Dr. Scheiner’s RESET® laser resurfacing technique to improve wrinkles, crepiness, and skin quality. Together, the two steps create a smoother, tighter, more naturally rejuvenated appearance.

The Better Blepharoplasty is a two-step procedure, with the second step featuring Dr. Scheiner’s proprietary RESET® Laser Skin Resurfacing technique. This advanced deep resurfacing is available for light-to-medium skin-toned adults. Unfortunately, deep laser skin resurfacing is not currently available for patients with dark skin tones, though they may be candidates for Halo and other treatments.

Patients whose medical conditions make anesthesia a health risk may also be excluded from the surgery. If you have previously had cosmetic surgery, Dr. Scheiner will evaluate you to determine whether the RESET resurfacing Procedures are a good fit for you.
