Upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty are among the most common eyelid cosmetic procedures in the United States. Most blepharoplasty is still performed with a scalpel. I have spent over two decades using laser technology for eyelid surgery and skin resurfacing, including RESET® for lower eyelids and festoons. Conventional techniques can lift heavy or hooded lids, but they do not improve the thin upper lid skin that shows age.

After many years in practice, I realized that my RESET resurfacing procedure, used for the lower eyelids and festoons, could be applied to the very delicate upper eyelids. With careful research, I set out to develop a procedure that addressed both heavy upper lids and the crepey, wrinkled upper lid skin.

The Better Blepharoplasty is a two step, one surgery laser approach. Step 1 is laser blepharoplasty, using a laser instead of a scalpel to address heavy upper lid tissue. Step 2 resurfaces the remaining upper lid skin with RESET to restore a tighter, younger state. This step improves the wrinkling and crepiness that are common with age.

My eyelid rejuvenation approach is comprehensive. It addresses what makes lids look heavy and the upper lid skin that shows age. The Better Blepharoplasty does this by combining laser blepharoplasty with RESET Upper Lids to deliver complete upper lid rejuvenation and a refreshed, younger appearance.
